B.  Neurolaw Media & News Clippings  

    1. Neuroethics Hires: Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia is  creating a new interdisciplinary Neuroethics Program, a cooperative  venture of the Department of Philosophy,  the Neuroscience Institute, the Department  of Psychology, and the College of Law. As part of the University’s Second Century Initiative (2CI), the  Neuroethics Program includes three new open-rank tenured/tenure-track hires, new PhD Fellowships, and a Concentration in Neuroethics in the PhD  programs in Neuroscience and in Psychology. Nicole Vincent has been hired as Associate Professor in Philosophy, Law, and Neuroscience for one of these positions. C.  Conferences & Speaker Series  

    1. Neuroscience, Ethics and Law: New Challenges for Human Identity, Freedom and Responsibility: This workshop will be held on November 6-7, 2013 on the premises of the Brocher Foundation (Route d'Hermance 471, 1248 Hermance, Switzerland) and aims to discuss the novel issues raised by neuroscientific knowledge and technologies from an interdisciplinary perspective. D.  Other Developments  

  1. Vanderbilt Welcomes Christopher Sundby to the J.D./Ph.D. in Law & Neuroscience:  Vanderbilt University welcomes Christopher Sundby as the newest J.D./Ph.D. candidate in Law & Neuroscience. Christopher is a 2012 graduate of Oberlin College and has been named the John W. Wade Scholar. He expects to complete both his J.D. and Ph.D., which are awarded separately, in approximately seven years, and he ultimately hopes to be active in research in both fields while teaching law and neuroscience.
