- 20 Years of fMRI: Perspectives on Psychological Science (a publication of the APA) recently highlighted a special section on “20 Years of fMRI” which highlights pieces by MacArthur Foundation Research Network on Law and Neuroscience Member Anthony Wagner and Senior Consultant Martha Farah.

The Neuroscience Boot Camp at the University of Pennsylvania will be held from July 29 - August 7, 2013. “This year marks the program's fifth anniversary, and we are excited to welcome another diverse and accomplished group of students to Penn in order to explore the basic principles of neuroscience. Through a combination of lectures, break-out groups, panel discussions and laboratory visits, Boot Camp participants will gain an understanding of the methods of neuroscience and key findings on the cognitive and social-emotional functions of the brain, lifespan development and disorders of brain function. Our Boot Camp faculty consists of leaders in the fields of cognitive and affective neuroscience, all of who are committed to the goal of educating non-neuroscientists.”
The deadline to apply is February 22, 2013 . Stipends are available on application for law professors, lawyers, and others working in legal fields. The event is sponsored by the MacArthur Foundation Research Network on Law and Neuroscience, the Federal Judicial Center, Vanderbilt Law School, Stanford Center for Law and the Bioscience, and the Gruter Institute for Law and Behavioral Research. The conference is closed to the public.
- The Future of Law and Neuroscience, sponsored by the MacArthur Foundation Research Network on Law and Neuroscience, the American Bar Association, Vanderbilt Law School, and the Gruter Institute for Law and Behavioral Research, the ABA Criminal Justice Section and the ABA Science & Technology Section, will be held on April 27, 2013 at the Conrad Chicago Hotel. The program will feature a law and neuroscience curriculum specifically designed for lawyers, and will draw on new research from the MacArthur Foundation Research Network. Due to the heightened interest in the intersection of law and neuroscience, the conference is now full and registration is closed.

- Network Member Announcement: Kim Taylor-Thompson – The MacArthur Foundation Research Network on Law and Neuroscience is delighted to announce that Kim Taylor-Thompson has accepted an invitation to join the Research Network as a Member.
Kim Taylor-Thompson is Professor of Clinical Law at New York University School of Law, and she brings considerable expertise, as well as important skills and perspectives, to our group.

- International Neurolaw – The MacArthur Foundation Research Network on Law and Neuroscience has begun compiling international resources on law and neuroscience. Thus far, we have developed databases for international neurolaw publications and resources in Italian, French, and Swiss . For non-English publication titles, English translations are provided in parentheses, when available. We welcome information about publications in additional languages.
